Rochester, NY … Over 100 people and dozens of schools and companies made dreams come true for over 750 people in our city through Catholic Family Center's Adopt-a-Family program.

Once again Christmas comes to our city through the spirit and kindness of the people in our community. This year, support of the Adopt-a-Family program made Christmas very merry for 154 families, including 253 adults and more than 500 children.

Bikes and Balls and Barbies, clothing and food were assembled one family at a time and by the van load for many families and individuals in need over the holidays. It was an amazing outpouring of generosity. Some donated much needed winter wear. And special donations of food to help hungry kids during the school break was very much appreciated, as many of the children in our community rely on school meals to provide their main nutrition of the day.

Many special stories of giving include Bay Trail Middle School, which donated a cargo van full of toys for kids in need this Christmas. ..AND braved freezing temperatures to load everything in record time! Thumbs up to the students, their principal and parents!

PICTURED: Employees at D&C Digital on Main St made holiday wishes come true for seven lucky families. Pictured are the men that carried the generous bounty down all those stairs to fill the van.
