Emergency Services

Community Resource Services (CRS) is Catholic Family Center’s emergency services provider for families and individuals seeking emergency assistance for immediate basic needs of daily life. Services include crisis intervention/basic needs services: food pantry, clothing closet, prescription assistance, housing issues, holiday programs, financial assistance and case management for families in economic crisis.

OVERVIEW OF THE PROGRAM

Community Resource Services (CRS) is Catholic Family Center's emergency services provider for families and individuals seeking emergency assistance for immediate basic needs of daily life. CRS has been providing basic needs services for almost 30 years, with the goal of stabilizing individuals and families that are in crisis.

Features:

  • Community Resource Services provides crisis intervention/basic needs services, including a food pantry, housing and financial assistance, advocacy, and case management for families in economic crisis, as well as information and linkage to other needed services in the greater Rochester area to enable stabilization.
  • Self-serve pantry, enabling allows clients to shop for the food most beneficial to themselves and their families. 
  • Facilitated enrollment in Child Health/Family Health Plus available

Basic Needs & Emergency Services

Community Resource Services (CRS) is Catholic Family Center's emergency services provider for families and individuals seeking emergency assistance for immediate basic needs of daily life. CRS provides crisis intervention/basic needs services, including a food pantry, housing and financial assistance, advocacy, and case management for families in economic crisis, as well as information and linkage to other needed services in the greater Rochester area to enable stabilization.

CRS is often the first stop for individuals and families who do not know what to do next, due to issues such as loss of employment, denial of benefits, or food shortage in the home.

Special Services and Case Management

Community Resource Services provides holiday programs around Thanksgiving and Christmas, providing many families with special support during these special, and sometimes uniquely vulnerable, times of the year.

Our new assessment process gives us a more comprehensive look at issues occurring in client's lives so we can better assist them in the goal of attaining or maintaining stability.

Our walk-in hours are 9:00-2:00 and appointments can be made between 2:00-4:00pm.
