Catholic Family Center’s emergency services provide emergency assistance for immediate basic needs of daily life. Services include crisis intervention/basic needs services, emergency housing/shelter services and permanent supportive living services.

Overview of Our Services

Community Resource Services

Community Resource Services (CRS) is Catholic Family Center's emergency services provider for families and individuals seeking emergency assistance for immediate basic needs of daily life. CRS has been providing basic needs services for almost 30 years, with the goal of stabilizing individuals and families that are in crisis.

Features:

  • Services include crisis intervention/basic needs services: food pantry, prescription assistance, housing issues, holiday programs, financial assistance and case management for families in economic crisis
  • Self-serve pantry, enabling clients to shop for the food most beneficial to themselves and their families.
  • Our walk-in hours are 9:00-1:00 Monday -Friday and appointments if necessary can be made between 2:00-4:00

Emergency Housing/ Shelter Services

Eligibility Criteria

Anyone who is currently homeless or at risk of being homeless, and is in need of emergency housing must call the Lifeline (ABVI Goodwill): 211 or from M-F, 8-5:00pm go to 691 St. Paul Street, Monroe County Department of Human Services (DHS) to be assessed for placement.

If you are under current sanction from DHS, or have barriers to housing, you must contact 211 for assessment and possible hospitality placement in an emergency shelter.

Permanent Supportive Housing

Eligibility Criteria

Anyone who is at risk of homelessness, or is currently homeless may apply for consideration by Monroe County Department of Human Services.
