Primarily funded by the U.S. Government through our national affiliates, the goal of the program is to ensure that employable refugee enrollees achieve economic self-sufficiency through fulltime employment—without recourse to public assistance—within four months after their arrival.
Refugee Resettlement Program volunteers and regular staff provide resettlement and supplementary assistance to Match Grant enrollees for their first four months in-country. Through a combination of volunteer time, mileage, in-kind and direct cash assistance, sufficient resources are brought to render Match Grant refugees ineligible for public assistance during this 4-month period. If, by the 120th day, all employable people in a case are fulltime employed, the objective of the program is achieved.
