PROGRAM OVERVIEW: NORCs (Naturally Occurring Retirement Communities) are designed to make services and support available that maintain and/or increase the independence of people age 60 or older within a specific geographical area-mostly found in apartment complexes, specific neighborhoods or combined.

Services can include: transportation, home repair, home modification for fall prevention, scam prevention programs, assistance with housekeeping, health screenings and education and friendly visiting.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: You must be a Monroe County resident, 60 years of age or older and live in one of three targeted areas:
In the Irondequoit neighborhoods surrounding King’s Court Apartments
Crossroads Apartments and Keeler Street Apartments
Rochester Highland Apartments

FEES: There may be nominal fees for some targeted services, others are provided free of charge with donations encouraged.

PROGRAM LOCATIONS: Administrative offices are located at Eldersource, a collaboration of Catholic Family Center and Lifespan. All services are provided within the targeted areas listed above.
