About Women's Place, CFC's Shelter for Woman and Children
Women’s Place, with 19-bedrooms, provides shelter for single women and women with children. This shelter, opened in 1989, provides a homelike setting with private rooms for family bedroom and single or double accommodations for single women residents. The grounds and building have a security system to insure the safety of residents, staff and volunteers.
Meals are served in the dining room and there is a large lounge/living room area with a television and it is suitable for group presentations. A playroom is provided for the children, where 2 days a week an activity assistant provides arts and crafts and playtime for the children. Activities and programs are also offered in the evening for the women residents.
Parents are responsible for the supervision of their children. A safe gated play area is on the grounds, which allows the moms and children a place to get fresh air and play when the weather allows.
