Rochester, NY… Catholic Family Center (CFC) has achieved national accreditation through the New York-based Council on Accreditation (COA) as an intercountry adoption service provider.

The Hague Convention on Protection of Children
The COA, as authorized the by US Department of State, confirms Catholic Family Center is Hague Accredited to provide adoption services in connection with adoptions under The Hague Convention on Protection of Children and Co-operation in Respect of Intercountry Adoption through March 31, 2022.

Rigorous evaluation against best practice standards
The COA accreditation process involves a detailed review and analysis of an organization’s administration, management, and service delivery functions against international standards of best practice. The standards driving accreditation ensure that services are well-coordinated, culturally competent, evidence-based, outcomes-oriented, and provided by a skilled and supported workforce. A group of specially trained volunteer Peer Reviewers confirmed adherence to these standards during a series of on-site interviews with trustees, staff and clients.

If you are interested in pursuing adoption
Catholic Family Center has been providing adoption services since 1917. The Adoption program provides home studies and post-placement services for international and older/special needs adoptions and is also a placement agency for domestic infant adoptions.
